01 — The field

What is VFX?

Visual Effects—or VFX—changes, creates or combines imagery that may be hard or impossible to capture directly. Artists can remove a green screen, isolate a subject, track camera movement, add CG elements and combine many layers into one finished shot for films, OTT content, advertising and online video.

02 — Shot workflow

How does a VFX shot come together?

A shot moves through connected stages. The order may change by project, but each stage prepares the next.

Yes. A student can start VFX training after 10+2. TGC publishes focused VFX training as well as longer animation, multimedia and degree routes.
